Mayor's Literacy Program

I visited the City of Tonawanda Public Library a couple weeks and we are so lucky to have such a nice library within our city. We all have an obligation to our children and we must ensure they can keep reading and learning by maintaining access to our library, especially during these trying times with Covid concerns.
One of my goals and commitment as Mayor, will be to set up a Mayor's Literacy Program for the children of our city to encourage reading and make it a fun and enjoyable experience.

The newly created Mayor's Literacy Program will encourage our City's youth to read throughout the summer. Books will be provided or books can be checked out through the library on Main Street. Each participant will earn a Mayor's "Super Reader!" Diploma and be entered for a chance to win some fun prizes.

Sincerely,
John L. White
Your next Mayor
